Our History.png

United for Christ Church Inc. is a Full Gospel Christian Ministry designed to meet the needs of the "Whole" man. The church was founded by Pastor Deryl Bowick and her husband Elder Wade Charles Bowick in November 1991.

The ministry incorporated in December 1991 as United for Christ Church, Inc.  The central goal of this church is simple...  that men, women, boys, and girls will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

United for Christ Church, Inc. began at Campus Hills Recreation Center in Durham, N.C. using the small arts&. crafts room. In less than a year United for Christ Church, Inc. grew to the extent that the church relocated to East End Park Recreational Center.

In November 1992 United for Christ Church, Inc. relocated again to 1607 Avondale Drive. We are now over 600 members strong in the Lord and reside at 4823 Meadows Drive.

In November of 1991, Wade Charles Bowick became the establishmentarian of the United for Christ Church, Inc. with his wife, Deryl M. Bowick at his side. Elder Wade Bowick was married to his wife Deryl for 41 years. He was the father of 4 children and 9 grandchildren. "Elder Wade" as he was affectionately called by everyone, was a man of prayer and Christian discipline. He held and fulfilled the position of General Overseer of the United for Christ Church for many years. The list of his accomplishments both spiritually and secularly are too numerous to list here. We will never forget the contribution this great man of God made, not only to his family, but to the community and the overall Body of Christ. We thank God for Elder Wade Charles Bowick.
